    About Claire

Hello, my name is Claire and I'm a fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist who prides myself on creating a safe, warm, and calm environment where you and your partner can feel completely at ease. I understand that starting relationship therapy can feel daunting, particularly if you are unsure of what to expect, but I am here to guide you through the process at a pace that feels comfortable for you both.

Our first meeting is focused on building rapport and getting to know each other. I take the time to understand your unique needs, expectations, and goals for our work together. Whether you are facing specific conflicts or simply feel disconnected, my role is to help you both identify and communicate your needs more clearly, providing the tools necessary for you to feel validated and understood.

In our sessions, I assist in healing any underlying resentment that may be bubbling under the surface and preventing you from moving forward. Together, we will unpick the details of your relationship dynamics to help you gain a greater understanding of yourself and each other. My ultimate aim is to help you emotionally recentre your partnership and find a happier way forward.

    Background & Experience

I am an experienced relationship therapist with over nine years of experience in the field. I hold a CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Throughout my career, I have built a solid foundation in a variety of therapeutic techniques, including Psychodynamic, CBT, and Emotionally Focused Therapy, allowing me to support couples with diverse needs and backgrounds.

Before training as a psychotherapist, I spent time in leadership roles as a Managing Director, where I focused on strategy and managing teams. My journey also includes significant work within the charitable sector in London, supporting asylum seekers and individuals managing complex mental health challenges. I have also worked with numerous community organisations, including the Bromley Counselling Centre and various educational settings, which has given me a broad perspective on the issues individuals and couples face.

    How I can help

Together we will create a safe, confidential space where you can both openly explore your individual perspectives and relationship challenges.

I'll guide you through understanding and healing underlying resentments, helping you uncover a clear path forward together.

I will help you develop practical skills to identify and communicate your needs, desires, and expectations with greater clarity and compassion.

I'll help you cultivate a relationship dynamic built on enhanced emotional connection, trust, and profound mutual respect.

Using evidence-based approaches like Emotionally Focused Therapy, we'll address core issues to create lasting understanding and connection.

We'll work collaboratively to transform conflict into opportunities for intimacy and reignite the joy in your partnership.
