    About Jackie

Hello, my name is Jackie and I am a fully qualified couples counsellor. I work with both couples and individuals. My primary aim is to work with you to create a welcoming, calm, respectful, and safe space where you both have the opportunity to feel truly heard and understood. This dedicated space allows you both the time to gain a deeper understanding of each other's feelings without the fear of being judged or dismissed.

Whether you are looking for help in finding a more effective way of communicating or need to learn how to manage anger, resentment, or mistrust within the relationship, I am here to support you. Perhaps the spark has gone and you would like help to try and ignite it again; I will help you both identify and understand the negative patterns of behaviour or resentments that may have brought you to this point.

I believe that each person is an individual within a relationship. Therefore, I tailor my work to your unique needs and situations in order to rebuild the strong bond that may have been lost over time. Together, we will explore how to avoid the same conflicts or avoidance issues that have caused distance between you, focusing on building a stronger foundation for a solid partnership moving forward.

During our sessions, I maintain a warm, approachable, and neutral presence. I act interactively to offer different perspectives on your individual points of view, helping you to move forward more positively in whichever way you choose to define your future together.

    Background & Experience

Prior to working in my own private practice and for Online Couples Counselling, I worked for a well-known charity. This experience was incredibly diverse and allowed me to support clients through a wide range of complex issues that often impact relationship stability, including anxiety, grief, trauma, and anger.

In addition to my core relationship work, I have specific experience in supporting individuals and couples through the challenges of baby loss and miscarriage. My background across these various areas of mental health allows me to bring a compassionate and multi-faceted approach to my relationship work, ensuring that all factors affecting a partnership are considered.
