About Sian
I understand that when relationships face difficulties, emotions run high, making it challenging to see beyond the immediate issues. Identifying individual contributions to problems can be difficult, often leading to a cycle of blame. My role is to provide a non-judgmental, secure, and confidential environment where we can navigate these challenges together.
I take a logical, step-by-step approach to couple therapy. By asking relevant questions, I will encourage you both to work through your challenges together. This process allows you to openly express what is not working and why, while affording your partner the opportunity to genuinely listen and understand your perspective.
The goal is not necessarily to agree or even like each other’s viewpoints, but to reach a level of mutual understanding. In my experience, achieving such understanding goes a long way in removing the hurt, resentment, or anger that can build up over time. I am not a therapist who sits silently; I take an active part in your conversation and the process of recovery and change.
Whether you are looking to make your relationship work better than it currently does, or if you require support in separating more amicably, I am here to help. My work encompasses diverse backgrounds, cultures, same-gender relationships, families, and friendships.

Background & Experience
I have spent over 15 years specialising in relationship counselling, originally establishing Relationship Counselling Kent before expanding to support couples across the UK online. My professional journey began in the corporate world at Coca-Cola Enterprises Ltd in various management roles. I firmly believe the training, structure, and discipline I gained during those years have contributed greatly to my success as a therapist, allowing me to bring a wider perspective into the therapy room.
To transition into this field, I spent ten years working full-time while completing my degree in Psychology and subsequent postgraduate training. This path has given me a robust foundation in understanding human behaviour and various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Psychotherapy, which I use to help couples address negative thought patterns and improve their partnership dynamics.
