    About Ryan

Hello my name is Ryan and I'm a qualified counsellor specialising in online relationship therapy. I provide a balanced and respectful space where both partners feel heard. My aim is to help you understand the dynamics of your relationship, encouraging you to talk more clearly and reconnect with less conflict and more compassion.

I tailor every session to your unique relationship rather than using a rigid, one-size-fits-all approach. Whether you are struggling with a loss of trust, emotional distance, or recurring conflict, I work to create a space where empathy and emotional closeness can grow again. My style is calm and structured, helping you move from tension towards a more supportive partnership.

I have particular experience working with couples where one or both partners have ADHD or are autistic, whether formally diagnosed, self-diagnosed or exploring their neurodivergence. I help couples understand how neurodivergence may be influencing their relationship, including differences in communication, emotional regulation, sensory needs, overwhelm and everyday expectations. The focus is not on seeing either partner as the problem, but on helping you understand each other’s experiences, reduce misunderstanding and find ways of relating that work for both of you.

    Background & Experience

Before training as a therapist, I spent many years in education, training, and senior leadership roles. In these positions, I focused on supporting people to develop confidence, resilience, and wellbeing. This background in leadership and human development continues to shape my therapeutic work today, providing me with a practical and grounded perspective on relationship dynamics.

For over ten years, I have taken NHS referrals alongside my own private practice, worked with a diverse range of clients and presenting issues. Having experienced therapy myself, I understand how important it is to feel safe and supported when opening up about personal matters. I am committed to professional excellence, completing regular ongoing CPD and following the BACP ethical guidelines.

Ryan was brilliant really. He actively listened, and tailored the sessions to what I wanted, which was a solutions-based approach, giving me pointers and suggestions to work on between sessions. I'd thoroughly recommend him.
