About Sian
When relationships feel difficult, emotions often run high. It can become hard to see beyond what is happening in the moment, and couples can find themselves stuck in cycles of blame or misunderstanding. My role is to offer a non judgemental, secure, and confidential space where we can explore what is happening and begin to shift these patterns together.
I take a logical, step by step approach to couples therapy. I ask thoughtful questions and actively guide conversations, helping you both talk about what is not working and why, while also supporting each of you to genuinely hear the other’s point of view.
The aim is not always to agree, or even to like each other’s views, but to reach a deeper level of understanding. In my experience, this understanding often reduces the hurt, resentment, and anger that can build up over time. I am not a therapist who sits back in silence. I take an active role in helping you move towards change.
Whether you are hoping to improve your relationship or need support to separate more amicably, I offer a calm and supportive space to work things through. I work with couples from diverse backgrounds, cultures, same gender relationships, families, and close relationships.

Background & Experience
I have spent over 17 years specialising in relationship counselling, originally establishing Relationship Counselling Kent before expanding to support couples across the UK online. My professional journey began in the corporate world at Coca-Cola Enterprises Ltd in various management roles. I firmly believe the training, structure, and discipline I gained during those years have contributed greatly to my success as a therapist, allowing me to bring a wider perspective into the therapy room.
To transition into this field, I spent ten years working full-time while completing my degree in Psychology and subsequent postgraduate training. This path has given me a robust foundation in understanding human behaviour and various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Psychotherapy, which I use to help couples address negative thought patterns and improve their partnership dynamics.

Sian was very methodical and to the point. It was amazing what she achieved in such a short period of time. She was very friendly but also very firm. We can highly recommend her and we will use her again!
Review of Sian Jones
Sian is an amazing counsellor. She listens well, allows both sides to communicate, is honest and is very good at analysing the underlying issues to get to the root cause of it, which is absolutely necessary in order to start addressing the real problem. I felt a safe space with h…

I honestly thought we were probably past the point where counselling could help. We had been having the same arguments for years and neither of us felt listened to. Sian was brilliant at making sure we both had a chance to speak and helped us see how we were getting stuck in the…

Sian helped me and my partner work through our constant arguments. She helped us clearly define which behaviours and issues were causing us to disagree. And then helped us find a resolution and understand each other's viewpoint. I can confirm and say confidently that Sian helped…
Review of Sian Jones
We had 6 sessions after going through a very difficult patch in our marriage. I wasn't particularly keen on counselling if I'm honest but agreed to try it. I was surprised by how useful I found it. It wasn't about deciding who was right or wrong, which was probably what I was wo…
