About Tracey Neale
Hi, I’m Tracey Neale, a qualified Counsellor, Couples therapist and EMDR therapist. I have a (D’Couns Psych) and I’m accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) with over 15 experience. LGBTQ+ Couples Therapy is my spcecialist area. Additionally, I am a member of the EMDR UK Association.
My primary focus is supporting individuals and couples in understanding the challenges that affect their lives. By fostering a collaborative and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship, characterised by empathy and respect. I strive to facilitate positive change and help individuals and couples envision a brighter future. Upholding confidentiality is of utmost importance to me, ensuring that you feel safe and secure
When it comes to relationship therapy, I provide a space where both partners can dedicate time to reflect upon and discuss their relationship. Therefore, by fostering open communication, I encourage ongoing dialogue both during and after our sessions.
Couples counselling equips you with the tools to address potential issues before they escalate. Subsequently, facilitating a deeper understanding of each other’s perspective, needs, desires and available resources within the relationship. Together, we can explore and overcome any obstacles that hinder accessing these resources.

Background/Experience
As part of my qualification journey, I gained valuable experience by volunteering with a rape crisis and CSA team. Additionally, I completed a placement at ‘The Place To Be’ where I worked within primary schools.
Over the past decade, I have worked extensively with the NHS IAPT services, delivering counselling, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and Couples Therapy for Depression. These services are part of the NHS IAPT program, which aims to provide increased access to psychological therapies.
Throughout my career, I have actively engaged with ethnic minorities and the LGBTQ+ communities, providing culturally sensitive support. LGBTQ+ couple therapy is my specialist area.
In 2021, I successfully completed specialised training with Tavistock Relationships to become a qualified provider of Couples Therapy for Depression.
Furthermore, in 2018, I achieved certification in EMDR, an evidence-based intervention that is particularly effective for trauma treatment and various mental health issues.
Recently, I also offer counselling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Couples Therapy, both in-person at CBT Counselling Kent and online. I am committed to providing high-quality services to individuals and couples seeking support.
To ensure ongoing professional development, I engage in bi-monthly Clinical Supervision sessions and actively pursue Continued Professional Development (CPD) opportunities.
