About Sarah Taylor
Hello, my name is Sarah. I’m a dedicated and passionate Couples Therapist, offering online support to couples and individuals across the UK.
I’m qualified to Master’s Degree level (Distinction) in Relationship Therapy and bring warmth, curiosity and empathy to every session. I work in a thoughtful, analytical way and have a strong capacity to connect deeply with others, helping clients feel seen and understood.
I have significant experience in working with a wide range of relationship and interpersonal difficulties, including:
- • Conflict and communication problems
- • Coping with grief, loss or trauma
- • Rebuilding after infidelity or betrayal
- • Intimacy-related issues and low self-esteem
I’m an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), as well as an Accredited Registrant of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (MNCPS Acc.).
I believe that you are the expert in your own story and that the quality of our relationships often reflects the relationship we have with ourselves. Seeking couples counselling takes courage, and I’m here to support and empower you as you take those first steps towards change.

Background/Experience
In addition to my work as a Couples Therapist, I’m an accredited Workplace Mediator and experienced Employment Relations Trainer. I deliver training on Mental Health, Equality and Diversity, Conflict Resolution, and Line Management skills to a wide range of organisations, from SMEs to large multinationals.
Before this, I spent nine years as a qualified Probation Officer, supporting offender rehabilitation in both community and custodial settings. I also facilitated psychology-based programmes on anger management, domestic abuse, decision-making, and self-esteem.
I hold a B.A. (Hons) in Community and Criminal Justice and am also a qualified Further Education Teacher (Cert Ed), having taught English to international students, asylum seekers and refugees.
Well-travelled and passionate about diversity, I bring a broad, culturally informed perspective to my therapy work. My professional background, combined with a love of lifelong learning, helps me offer meaningful, effective support to the couples and individuals I work with.
How I can help you
- I provide a safe, empathic and non-judgemental space to explore thoughts and feelings. Each approach is tailored to your unique challenges, while also recognising your strengths.
- I'll support you in expressing frustrations, hurts and needs more effectively, in a way your partner can genuinely hear and understand.
- Together, we’ll explore how both partners contribute to the dynamic between you, encouraging shared responsibility without blame or criticism.
- I will help you listen more deeply and develop a clearer understanding of your partner’s perspective and emotional world.
- During our therapy together I will provide practical tools to manage conflict more respectfully and communicate with greater care, even during difficult moments.
